Our family-oriented team is growing rapidly and seeking a skilled and experienced Quality professional to join us as our Quality Control Manager. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and possess a strong background in quality control within an inspection lab and machine shop environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform First Article, In-Process, and Final Inspection of complex parts.
- Conduct mechanical inspection using Height gage, Digital Calipers, Micrometers, and typical shop gaging.
- Interpret and understand blueprints and machine shop drawings.
- Proficient in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Develop and improve best practices for inspection and quality control.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure the production of high-quality machined parts.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
- Have a comprehensive understanding of the final inspection process.
- Meet customer expectations and requirements.
- Utilize technical writing capabilities for Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and Corrective Action Reports (CAR).
- Communicate effectively with all levels of management.
- Experience with ISO 9001 Quality Systems procedural applications.
- Preferred experience with AS 9100.
- Be detail-oriented and contribute as a team player.
- Ability to lift material up to 40 pounds.
Qualifications:
- Related experience in manufacturing (minimum 5 years)
- Mitutoyo CMM (preferred)
- JobBoss2/ShopTech E2 System (preferred)
- Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook (required)
- Able to work within strict deadlines
- Experience with ISO 9001 Quality Systems is required
- AS 9100 experience is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and machine shop drawings.
- Proficient in GD&T.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization.
- Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
