The Service Manager is an energetic and autonomous leader responsible for managing, improving, streamlining, and scaling service operations through management of people, processes, and technology. This leader will own end-to-end service operations from collaborating with Sales and the General Manager on pipeline opportunities through service, delivery, and customer satisfaction. This leader is responsible for retaining, training and growing our service technician staff to keep up with high growth. Finally, the right candidate has the desire to make an immediate and tangible impact as a hands-on, autonomous leader that will help us provide best-in-class service while helping to scale the business.

Areas of Ownership

• Management of 6-10 field service technicians servicing customer sites throughout greater New England.
• Full LMA (Leadership, management and holding them accountable) -includes performance reviews, hiring/firing, training, etc.
• Management of the field service schedule (with support the from the GM and the Service Admin)
• Preparation of field work orders in our ERP (Zoho)
• Management of vehicle fleet (one vehicle per tech plus box truck)

• Ownership of ancillary services (e.g., water quality reports, calibrations) & aftermarket service execution
• Management of phone support and technician on-call rotation including helping field techs triage emergencies as needed
• Coordination with the Procurement Manager to ensure all service consumables, materials and tools are in-house 45 days in advance
• Leadership of strategic projects in the areas of processes and technologies that enhance the ability to scale the company.
• Troubleshooting with customers and technicians (some technical aptitude a plus)
